I just stumbled across Meat Loaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" and I had to make it my first post of the year 2009. There's just a few things that need to be pondered before I go right into the video. First off, why would he choose the name Meat Loaf? I mean who really enjoys eating meatloaf? I'm gonna go out on a limb, but I'm guessing really only the elderly enjoy meatloaf because 1) It's good on the gums and 2) They've lost their taste buds. Secondly, the name Meat Loaf is not a flattering one. Ok enough said. Gross. Moving on...I love this song. It makes me laugh and whenever I hear it I want to just belt out the female solo..."Will you make me so happy for the rest of my life? Will you take me away and and will you make me your wife?" Hahaha! YES! This is also a ridiculously long song...8 1/2 minutes! It is also a very strange music video and you can really tell Meat Loaf is feeling it.
